Nauryz in the Mountains of Katon-Karagay

Arrival in Ust-Kamenogorsk, group meeting at the airport. Seating in vehicles and departure toward Katon-Karagay. By sunset, we will stop for a picnic with a beautiful panoramic view on the shore of the Bukhtarma Reservoir.

By late twilight, we will reach the village of Katon-Karagay. Accommodation and dinner.

*Accommodation in a guest house or small hotel depending on availability. Double or triple rooms with standard amenities: shower and toilet.

Breakfast at the guest house. Today we will spend the entire day in the village of Katon-Karagay. We will join the local residents in celebrating Nauryz - here it always has a special, lively atmosphere with vibrant organization: yurts, concerts, competitions, and many different “spring” activities.

Lunch and dinner locations will be flexible depending on the situation. But we will definitely eat well.

Breakfast at the guest house. If we decide to visit the Nauryz celebrations in Katon-Karagay village, we will depart for the lake a little later. After leaving Katon-Karagay, we head toward Lake Rakhmanovskoye. The almost spring-like landscapes along the way are a delight in themselves. We will make a short stop at the mountain pass: if the weather allows, we may admire the highest peak of the Altai- Belukha (Muztau).

During the day, we will organize a picnic with a beautiful view. In the evening, we descend to the guest house for dinner and rest.

*Accommodation in one of the guest houses in the villages of Uryl or Berel, depending on availability. Double or triple rooms with standard shower and toilet.

A relaxed morning: sleep in and enjoy breakfast. We will decide on today’s plan together, depending on the weather and the group’s mood. You may take a walk around the area or visit local residents.

For the most adventurous participants, we can arrange a traditional Saka-style steam bath by the river.

Early wake-up (depending on flight time). Quick packing, breakfast, and departure to Ust-Kamenogorsk. On the way, we will definitely stop for lunch at a cafe or arrange a picnic, depending on the situation.

Upon arrival in the city - transfer to the airport and departure home.
